Five MW3 Multiplayer Classes That Might Help You Raise Your Game

Building a Call of Duty custom class is comparable to buying a new Smartphone; whatever your choice, it needs to serve its purpose adequately. You have to feel comfortable using it around others, and it’s got to reflect your personality and style too. Although I very much doubt my Samsung Galaxy S will help me nail an unsuspecting noob from 100 feet away, you can see where I’m going here.

You wouldn’t buy a handset without doing your research, testing various models in-store, and picking a tariff that provides the right balance of minutes, texts and broadband allowance, would you? Yet so many players customise their Call of Duty multiplayer loadouts with perks that don’t complement their choice of firearm, or high-end Killstreaks that require a number of kills their playing style won’t ever allow them to achieve.

After the jump we’ve listed five classes that have proven to be effective in most matches. We appreciate that not everyone is going to agree with our preferences, but if nothing else we hope that they’ll inspire you to review your current setups and identify where they can be optimised.

Class 1: Spec Ops
Style of play: defensive

Primary: Type 95 with Red Dot Sight / Holographic
Weapon Proficiency: Impact (for increased bullet penetration)
Secondary: MP9 with Extended Mags

Lethal: Claymore
Tactical: Flashbang

Perk 1: Sleight of Hand Pro (for fast reloads / quicker weapon swap)
Perk 2: Blast Shield Pro (for lethal grenade resistance / tactical grenade resistance)
Perk 3: Stalker Pro (for faster aim-down-sight movement / delayed detection-
triggered explosives)

Killstreaks: Support Strike: UAV (4), Bomb Decoy (5), Advanced UAV (12)
Deathstreak: personal preference.

Class 2: Unseen, Unheard
Style of play: covert

Primary: Scar-L with Silencer & Extended Mags
Weapon Proficiency: Attachments (dual attachments on primary)
Secondary: MP9 with Silencer

Lethal: Claymore
Tactical: Portable Radar

Perk 1: Blind Eye Pro (for invisibility to air support / extra damage to air support)
Perk 2: Assassin Pro (for invisibility to radar / no crosshair when targeted)
Perk 3: Dead Silence Pro (for silent movement / no fall damage)

Killstreaks: Assault Strike: Care Package (4), Helicopter (7), Reaper (9)
Deathstreak: personal preference.

Class 3: Weapons Free
Style of play: all round use

Primary: G36C with Red Dot Sight & Silencer
Weapon Proficiency: Attachments (dual attachments on primary)
Secondary: shotgun of choice

Lethal: Claymore
Tactical: Flashbang

Perk 1: Scavenger Pro (for resupply / larger starting ammo count)
Perk 2: Overkill Pro (for carrying a second primary weapon / attachments on second primary)
Perk 3: Dead Silence Pro (for silent movement / no fall damage)

Assault Strike: UAV (3), Predator (5), Helicopter (7)
Deathstreak: personal preference.

Class 4: Freerunner:
Style of play: offensive

Primary: UMP45 with Rapid Fire
Weapon Proficiency: Kick (for reduced recoil)
Secondary: MP9 with Silencer

Lethal: Claymore
Tactical: Flashbang

Perk 1: Extreme Conditioning Pro (for longer sprints / faster climbing)
Perk 2: Quick Draw Pro (for fast aim-down-sight / fast equipment use)
Perk 3: Steady Aim Pro (for improved hip fire / quicker aim-down-sight after sprinting)

Support Strike: UAV (4), Ballistic Vests (5), Stealth Bomber (14)
Deathstreak: personal preference.

Class 5: Scoped In
Style of play: sniping

Modern Warfare 3: New Shotgun Jump Glitch Could Be A Game-Breaker

This new glitch has been found in the multiplayer version of the game and a video we have to show you lets you see how a group of MW3 players can climb to the top of buildings, seemingly floating in the air due to something known as ‘shotgun boosting’ which is apparently the new thing for gamers to exploit in multiplayer.

Watch how they can super jump to different parts of the rooptop when shotgun jumping in mid air – it’s pretty crazy actually that this kind of thing wasn’t spotted by Infinity Ward. You can bet that it will be patched up though in the next title update for the game as it’s clear to see that it proves a clear advantage for players if they can reach out-of-bounds areas and hide from unsuspecting victims.

This glitch was found by RSPProductionz and can be achieved on the Fallen map. Watch it below and let us know if you have seen anyone in the game using it. Is it a ‘game-breaking’ glitch or one of the more ‘harmless’ glitches in your opinion? We’re guessing that a lot of you are probably trying to emulate these shotgun jumps after seeing them in game, so we’re interested to hear what you have to say about it.

With that said and done, if you play multiplayer ‘normally’ and have become frustrated about this particular glitch, you can look forward to this glitch being eradicated from the game in the next update.

Modern Warfare 3 Tops 9.3 Million Sales On Day 1

‘When will this franchise peak?’ Many asked this after last year’s Black Ops defied all odds and outsold a Modern Warfare Call of Duty game (the very reason the series is so big today); a brand within itself. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Call of Duty has yet again broken industry records, but it’s by how much that makes it staggering.

A reported 1.5 million people queued at midnight globally to get their hands on Modern Warfare 3, with a total of 9.3 million copies sold on the first day. The Xbox 360 version sees around a 54% share, meaning it’s the first game on one platform to pass 5 million on its first day. The PlayStation 3 version held 42%, which is around the 4 million mark. Both day ones are only slightly behind Black Ops entire first week sales. The PC version and the Wii version held the remaining 4%, which is around 370,000 units.

As a whole, Modern Warfare 3 is up 33% over Black Ops’ first day sales, and a whopping 55% up on the previous Modern Warfare. the US and the UK combined account for 7 million, which is just over 75%.

Early data suggests first week sales are on course for around 12 to 13.5 million. With just over 87 million Call of Duty games already sold on home consoles and PC this generation, by the end of this week the Call of Duty franchise will have sold over 100 million games this generation.
